When you start vacuuming, always check to make sure you start with a clean bag or canister. The bagless vacuums need have their filters replaced every 3 months. Vacuums with bags need to have the bag replaced when they are 3 quarters full. Doing this little prep work will ensure you have the most airflow to be able to lift dirt and debris up and out of your carpet, making your vacuum the most efficient. Go with slow motions over your carpet and pass over those high traffic areas twice. Your carpets should be vacuumed at least once a week and twice a week in high traffic areas.
